ADVOCACY FOR LIVING
Peaks and Dales Advocacy once again provides one-to-one advocacy: An advocate is someone who will speak up for you in a meeting or help you to speak up for yourself. They may write a letter for you or make a phone call to help you get a problem sorted:
If you have a problem that stops you just getting on with your life and having an advocate will help, contact us.
We have experience of working with older people, and people who have learning difficulties, or mental health needs.
We will work with you on a problem that together we can solve and once that is sorted will leave you to get on with your daily lives!
This advocacy service is county –wide and is free but travel expenses will need to be met if the work is a long way from our advocate’s bases.
We are a small advocacy organisation and are fully independent which means that we are not funded by a county council or health authority or any other large service provider.
Peaks and Dales Advocacy has over 30 years’ experience of working together with people so that people feel listened to and important in their own lives.
We are keen that everyone has a real choice of taking up what is available locally and that your voice is heard and your wellbeing is promoted.
